          <datacite:description xml:lang="ja" descriptionType="Abstract">震災時には多くの人が病院に運び込まれることが想定されるため、大地震直後でもその機能を維持することが求められています。以上のことから、震災時における医療施設の機能保持性能を評価するためのＥ－ディフェンス震動実験を実施しました。試験体は、病院を模擬したRC造４階建てで、その内部にはスタッフステーション、人工透析室、手術室、病室などを本物の機器・装置を用いて設け、病院施設の機能をより忠実に再現したものとなっています。実験では、耐震構造の病院と免震構造の病院での機能保持性能の違いを検証しています。直下型地震では、耐震構造の病院の危険性とともに、免震構造の機能保持状態が確認できました。また、地震力を大きく低減する免震構造といえども、長周期成分を含む地震動（東海・東南海地震連動型での名古屋地域の想定波）においては、地震対策を怠ることで危険にさらされることが明らかとなっています。実験で得られた成果は、病院施設などの機能保持性能の向上に役立てられています。</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">As it is expected that a large number of people will be brought to hospitals in the event of an earthquake, it is necessary for medical facilities to be able to maintain their functions even immediately after a major earthquake. In light of this, the E-Defense test was conducted to evaluate the performance of medical facilities in maintaining their functions. The test specimen was a four-story reinforced concrete building and inside it there were staff stations, dialysis rooms, operating theaters, hospital rooms, etc., all equipped with real equipment and devices, to faithfully reproduce the functions of a hospital facility. The experiment verified the difference in the ability to maintain functions between a hospital with fixed and isolated bases. In the case of a near-field earthquake, the danger of a hospital with the fixed base was confirmed, as was the state of function maintenance in a hospital with the isolated base. Furthermore, even the case with the isolated base that greatly reduce seismic force, it has been clarified that if earthquake countermeasures are neglected, there is a risk of being exposed to danger in the event of a long-period earthquake.</datacite:description>
