The semi-active seismic isolation system with MR damper was examined in this study. However, there is a delay of the response in the MR damper, and the delay of the response has negative affects on the semi-active seismic isolation performance. Therefore, the characterization experiments of MR damper were conducted and the semi-active seismic isolation system with MR damper, by which the delay was considered, was examined.
