In order to examine the cyclic behavior at small shear deformations of soil deposits under horizontally 1-D and 2-D seismic ground motions, the results from the E-Defense shaking tests on the specimen of a 6.4 m-high non-liquefiable dry sand deposit in a shear box are investigated. It can be recognized that the acceleration and displacement responses of the deposit in 1-D shaking are larger than those in 2-D shaking when the input motions of both shaking in each corresponding direction are similar. The cyclic loops between shear strain and horizontal acceleration of each layer are presented to demonstrate shear deformation characteristics. It can be seen that the loop gradients tend to decrease with shear strain increase, and the difference between the gradients in 1-D and 2-D shaking cannot be clearly identified through these tests.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10001_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"AMER SOC CIVIL ENGINEERS","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_10001_relation_14":{"attribute_name":"DOI","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"10.1061/9780784481486.017"}}]},"item_10001_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0895-0563","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kentaro Tabata","creatorNameLang":"en"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Masayoshi Sato","creatorNameLang":"en"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_title":"Cyclic Behavior at Small Shear Deformations of Non-Liquefiable Sand Ground Obtained from Horizontal 1-D and 2-D E-Defense Tests","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Cyclic Behavior at Small Shear Deformations of Non-Liquefiable Sand Ground Obtained from Horizontal 1-D and 2-D E-Defense Tests","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"40001","owner":"1","path":["1670839190650"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2023-03-30"},"publish_date":"2023-03-30","publish_status":"0","recid":"4651","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Cyclic Behavior at Small Shear Deformations of Non-Liquefiable Sand Ground Obtained from Horizontal 1-D and 2-D E-Defense Tests"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-08T06:07:17.526034+00:00"}
