Two X-band multi-parameter radars operated by the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention (NIED) captured the structure of the wind and hydrometeors within the cloud, as well as their time evolutions. The storm had a multi-cellular appearance, and the radars captured the development of four separate cells.
