A pseudo-velocity response spectrum for the sloshing design (for primary sloshing periods of 8-10 sec.)is proposed from the analysis of sloshing using earthquake ground motion records and artificial earthquake records generated by a semi-empirical method using small earthquakes recorded in the area. Safety level is examined in consideration of the variation of LNG level during the operation of the storage tank based on a reliability analysis.
