Power Reactor Facilities.” Following the revision of the guideline in September 2006, the government requested operating companies to conduct seismic backchecks on existing plants. While seismic margin has been confirmed for important facilities at nuclear power plants through various seismic tests, seismic margin tests simulating simultaneous elastic-plastic behavior of piping and supports have not been extensively conducted to date. Based on the above, experiments were conducted using E-Defense to confirm the seismic safety of the entire piping-support system.
