We report on a demonstration experiment verifying the effectiveness of a system developed under the Cabinet Office SIP Phase 3 “Smart Disaster Prevention Network Construction,” specifically within SIP Sub-Theme C “Cross-organizational information sharing and utilization in field response agencies,at the forefront of a disaster site. In this experiment, realistic collapsed structures were constructed at the JGSDF Sendai Garrison to conduct a “blind” rescue drill assuming a large-scale disaster. Teams from the Self-Defense Forces, Fire Department, and medical services assembled at the disaster site to verify whether rapid search, rescue, and extraction could be executed through information sharing and activity coordination. Furthermore, to facilitate the identification of the system\u0027s effects and issues, the drill was conducted twice: once using conventional methods and once utilizing the system under development.\nPersonnel responding on-site using the system utilized X-FACE (Type-1) to share the status of damage and victims before engaging in response activities. Additionally, we verified whether personnel location and trajectory data could be automatically acquired and utilized for strategic unit deployment planning. Information from onsite personnel was aggregated into SIP4D-Xedge at the on-site joint coordination center and used for activity coordination. Finally, assuming a scenario where communication was lost in certain areas, we tested the dronemounted X-ICS and the automated transport robot-mounted X-ICS.
